How the 1RM calculator works
We average two well-known formulas. Epley: 1RM = weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30). Brzycki: 1RM = weight × 36 ÷ (37 − reps). Estimates are most accurate between 2 and 10 reps; always warm up and use a spotter when testing a true max.
