How to do the Backward Roll to Support
Setup: Sit on the floor or a mat with legs bent or tucked, arms placed beside hips for support, core engaged.
Movement: Roll backward over the shoulders, keeping chin tucked to protect the neck, and extend legs overhead to transition into a support position on hands. Stabilize at the top.
Standards:
- Controlled backward roll over shoulders
- Stable hand support at the top
- Safe neck and spine alignment throughout
Focus Points: Tuck chin, engage core and shoulders, control momentum, maintain smooth and safe transition.
